On January 20, Donald Trump will be inaugurated into office as the 45th President of the United States. January 20 will NOT be "business as usual" for any of us.
At Sacred Heart, our work rests on the core belief that all people deserve basic human rights: adequate food, clothing, housing, education, health care, and personal safety. To promote these rights we must build strong communities, celebrate and learn together, and stand together against threats to our well-being.
In that spirit, we will not be providing our usual programs and services on this day. However, our space will be open for a community action teach-in that includes discussion and hands-on training in:
* Bystander intervention and solidarity with vulnerable communities
* The rights of immigrants
* Non-violent civil disobedience
* ...and more

El 20 de enero, Donald Trump será inagurado en el cargo como el Presidente 45.o de los Estados Unidos. El 20 de enero no será "como siempre" para ninguna de nosotros.
En el Sagrado Corazón, nuestro trabajo descansa en la creencia básica de que todas las personas merecen los derechos humanos básicos: alimentación adecuada, ropa, vivienda, educación, atención médica y seguridad personal. Para promover estos derechos debemos construir comunidades fuertes, celebrar y aprender juntos, y estar juntos contra las amenazas a nuestro bienestar.
En ese espíritu, no estaremos brindando nuestros programas y servicios usuales en este día. Sin embargo, esta acción comunitaria incluirá discusión y entrenamiento práctico en:
* Intervención de los espectadores y solidaridad con las comunidades vulnerables
* Los derechos de los inmigrantes
* La desobediencia civil sin violencia
* ...Y más
